For the short film “Aas voor de Kraaien”  by director Tom van Zutphen, Tim composed the original music. This graduation film by Tom, created at the University of the Arts, is a short, dark coming-of-age story about resisting expectations. “When an insecure girl tries to meet her mother’s expectations during her confirmation celebration, she encounters two outcasts who challenge her to think for herself, even as she does everything she can to fit in with them.” The film premieres on Thursday, December 19, in Tilburg and will be featured at various film festivals in 2025.

I’ve been selected by the executives of the London Media Music Industry to participate in the London Sync Mission.  The feedback I received on my application, portfolio and skills has been amazing – and honestly I never expected to be chosen as a participant. That’s why I’m even prouder to embrace this incredible opportunity. For the new documentary film “Een echte Van Megen” by director Bart Hölscher, Tim has composed the original music. On October 21, this film will open the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, Netherlands. After the premiere it will also be broadcasted on Dutch television. The original soundtrack will soon be available on all streaming platforms.

Tim created the original score for Dutch documentary film “Broertje is Verdwaald” by director Bart Hölscher. This moving documentary will premiere on Dutch TV. 15 February 2024, 10pm, NPO2.

Tim proudly presents his showreel 2023. Over the past few months, he has been composing/producing in many music  genres for various media as part of his Media & Games composition studies with Chichester University, England. Click here to listen to the showreel.

Tim created the original score for Dutch documentary film “Mural Hoofdstad” by director Tamino Parren commissioned by Vis Film Productions which had its premiere on 6th of November in Chassé Theatre Breda. The Dutch TV release will be in December 2022.
Mural Hoofdstad is a documentary about three young local artists trying to carve out their place in Heerlen’s Street Art scene. The former mining town is in transition. Ever since the word “urban” was assigned to Heerlen, the city has struggled with a contradictory face. A few years ago, bold murals loomed over the gray buildings. Since the arrival of the murals, many international artists have been approached to express themselves in downtown Heerlen. However, there is also frustration from the local street art scene. Limburg artists who love the opportunity to design and execute murals always end up at the bottom of the queue.

Tim is selected to join a workshop series with composer Joris de Man (Killzone, Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West) organized by Buma Music in Motion in Fall 2022.

In 2021, Bronsheim Music recorded a new CD with the Frysk Fanfare Orchestra, again with music composed by Tim. Crystal over the Ocean for fanfare orchestra can now be heard on this latest CD.

Tim is studying for a master of Fine Arts Professional Media Composition & Games Composition at Chichester University in England since September 2021 after going through an intensive selection process.  Tim is looking forward to learn from world-class composers, orchestrators, sound designers and mixing engineers and taking the next steps in his career.

Thinkspace Education who offers this MA in partnership with Chichester University, has many world renowned teachers such as Guy Michelmore, David Logan, James Griffith and Norman Ludwin. They work for the biggest games studios, networks and production companies in the world such as Disney, Dreamworks, Universal, Warner Bros, Sky, BBC and many others. Tim is very much looking forward to learning from these experts to take the next steps in his career.

 

Commissioned by MOSA Brass and EVA Vocal Ensemble, Tim made a composition and underscore for the theatrical performance ‘Battle Suit’. The premiere of this will take place on May 8, 2021 at 20:00 in Room 13 recording studio in Ghent, Belgium.

From old letters and a visit to one of the numerous war cemeteries in the Westhoek, actor Kurt Defrancq, together with vocal ensemble EVA, brass quintet MOSA Brass and director Bruno De Canne, embarks on a textual / musical quest for what it really means to war situation. As an assistent composer from Dutch filmcomposer Matthijs Kieboom Tim was lucky to assist in the first season from documentary serie The Art Dispute.  It’s produced by hazazaH Pictures and BNNVARA. Starting in April 2021 it will be broadcasted on Dutch television.

Flowing Base for bastuba and piano is Tim latest composition. It’s written for the solo debut album from tuba player Luc Geraats. The album called “Tuba Vocalis” will soon be released by Centaur Records and available on hard disk and streaming services.

In the summer of 2020 MOSA Brass recorded their first CD “Preludium” with works from Fauré, Rimsky-Korsakov and Ewazen. Tim recorded and produced this album for them. On www.mosabrass.nl you can find all the details about this project.

For the end of August Tim is invited after video selection to take part in the international conducting masterclass with The Moravian Orchestra & Maestro Alexander Polianichko in Olomouc, Czech Republic.

Tim is selected as one of few conductors for the International Masterclass with Maestro Grzegorz Nowak and Berlin Sinfonietta in October 2019.

The first CD “Army of Peace” contains Tims composition “La Noche Nueva“. The second composition “Blissful Ouverture” is published on the CD “Of Mines and Men”.
